Dutch bulb grower, Pieter Hoff has an idea about how to make deserts bloom: capture the humidity in the air, store it in a box, and use that condensation to water plants. He calls this box the Groasis waterboxx and he thinks it can change how we feed the world and reduce greenhouse gases.

I think this could be one of the most important innovations in the last 25 years. And you can buy TEN of these for under $300 here:

Way to go!

Ingenious and so simple! I love how a mining tool is being reused to plant the WaterBoxx. Amazing

Just a quick question for Mr Hoff, if he reads this: What would happen to the box as the plant gets larger, would the box be able to be removed so as not to restrict the growth of the plant. Would there then be a different box which will attach to the side of the plant which will perfor the same functions?

After one year the plant is strong enough to grow by itself and the Groasis waterboxx can be easily removed over the plant and during 10 years be reused for the next.
