Keshet Bachan is a girl’s empowerment and girl’s rights expert with over a decade of experience as a gender equality activist and scholar. She has been at the helm of Plan International’s flagship publication, ‘Because I am a Girl: the State of the World's Girls' report, for over 4 years. Women and girls have always been at the heart of Keshet’s career. Before joining Plan International, Keshet was actively involved in policy reform on issues such as trafficking women and actively lobbied for the inclusion of young women in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. Keshet holds an MA in Gender and Development from the London School of Economics and a BA in Government and Diplomacy from the Interdisciplinary Centre in Herzelyia (Israel).
