Flashback: Suketu Mehta

Suketu Mehta provided a gloomy but intriguing description of the fate of contemporary immigrant culture in New York City ("What is the function of memory in today's New York?" he wondered.) at the Festival of Ideas for the New City a couple weeks ago. As a result, we were inspired to comb through PopTech's archives to listen to Mehta read from his historical portrait of Mumbai, Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found, at PopTech in 2005.
